Our Top Dining Picks

Our family likes to eat and while we love preparing meals fresh on the grill or gas cooktop in the farmhouse, it is also nice to leave the dishes to someone else and eat out.

Here’s a list of our top restaurant picks.

 

Asheville:

Modesto: This woodfire kitchen is the perfect spot for dinner.

Limones: A fun take on mexican cuisine, we love it for dinner but Limones also offers a great brunch menu and fabulous cocktails.

Curate: This tapas bar is a true gem for lovers of Spanish cuisine and culture.

12 Bones Smokehouse: This barbecue joint is an Obama-favorite and a must-taste on any trip to Asheville.

Chocolate Lounge: This is our favorite dessert spot. We often have dinner and then take a walk over to the Chocolate Lounge for our favorite chocolate treat with a glass of red wine. The perfect way to end the evening!

Tupelo Honey Cafe: This is a great breakfast spot right in the heart of downtown Asheville.

The Lobster Trap: If you love great seafood, then the Lobster Trap is a can’t-miss experience.

Grove Park Inn: The food here is as breath-taking as the mountain views available from their dining room.

Dobra Tea: If you like tea, this is a really hip place. Be prepared to take off your shoes and sit on cushions.

Nightbell: This small plate restaurant is one of our go-to spots for great desserts.

Boone: Gamekeeper: Be open to trying some different types of food such as Ostrich or Snake. All are very tasty. Be sure to call ahead and make a reservation.

 

Burnsville:

Bubbas: A family-owned sports bar serving up blue plate specials.

Teos: Great food in a picturesque setting.

Garden Deli: Outdoor setting with good sandwiches and great sweet tea.

Pig and Grits: A great joint for breakfast and barbecue So eat up! Western North Carolina has many outstanding and unique restaurants!

Homeplace beer co.: Burnsville local brewery.   Entertainment and food trucks.
